The descriptions often facilitate memorising of symptoms. For instance, the beautifully presented Belladonna lecture links the berries to the dilated pupils of the patient in fever. The plant prefers the shade and thrives in chalky soil. (The chronic is Calc and the patient is worse for strong sunlight). All very hard to forget once it has been read!

These lectures first appeared in the British Homoepathic Journal in the 1960s and 70s.  One hundred and two remedies are found and these include four nosodes added to the text by the editors (Carcinosin, Medorrhinum, Syphilinum and Tuberculinum). Each remedy picture follows the same systematic headings.

This is the latest Narayana hardback edition published in Germany. The title was originally one of the excellent Beaconsfield paperbacks but now a sturdier hardback.
