• The Four Elements

Out of print and generally very hard to find a decent copy.

However we have copies !

-  Often found online at silly prices.

Excellent  166 page paperback published by Rider in 1987, just over 30 years ago.

Just a few left of this excellent and authorative title.  We have come across a spare box.  Limited.

This is an extremely useful book for those interested in the traditional Four Elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth.

These elements or humours were linked to particular personality and character types.

Allusions to these elements are frequently found in the classical homeopathic books. Words such as choleric, phlegmatic  etc are often found. Pulsatilla for instance would be seen as having a water imbalance and Sulphur having one of Fire. Lycopodium would be be viewed primarily as an Air imbalance

Homeopaths such as Joseph Reves have gone into considerable detail and placed remedies as having  their own axis upon the Wheel or Cross of the Four Elements.  Many of his books are now unavailable sadly.

The best  introductions to this subject that are available  are this title by Margaret Gullan-Whur and Misha Norland's  excellent 'The Four Elements in Homeopathy'.  Misha's title is geared specifically for homeopaths whereas Margaret Gullan-Whur's book is of use to students of many other disciplines, religious, historical, mythological and Biblical.
